About Us

Dore Bros Garage has been in the Dore family since 1946, launched after the Second World War by brothers Maxwell and Harold Dore. Through hard work and perseverance the business flourished and grew to become a legacy for future generations.

The garage was purchased in 1986 by Bernard Dore (from his father Maxwell) and subsequently by his son Matthew Dore.

Locally owned and family operated Dore Bros Garage believe in supporting the community and local businesses, with who in turn have supported them.

Dore Bros Garage make many donations and sponsorships every year to Queensland Cancer Council, Little Haven Palliative Care, Gunalda Campdraft, Gympie Showgirl, Gympie Stud Beef (Gympie Show Society), Queensland Blue Light, Australian Red Cross and more.

It is through repeat clientele and word of mouth that Dore Bros Garage has been so successful since inception in 1946.

Matthew Dore - Director. Mechanic.

Carries a Refrigerant Handling Licence (for working on automotive air-conditioning). Qualified for gas installations and servicing.

Holly Schwennesen - Office manager.

Office duties (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, bookings etc).

Simon Cassar - Mechanic.

Undertook his apprenticeship here beginning in 2006.

Leonard (Lenny) Fredrickson - Third year apprentice

Our team like to keep up to date with changes and advancements within the industry. We are active members of many industry associations including: Capricorn, IAME and MTAQ amongst others.
